Slot Terms Glossary

Key terms used throughout this site, explained in context of The Dog House Megaways.

Rtp

RTP (Return to Player) — the percentage of wagered money a slot returns over millions of spins. This slot: 96.55% theoretical, meaning $3.45 house edge per $100.

Volatility

Volatility — how spread out the wins are. Rated 5/5 here. Wins come less often but tend to be larger when they hit.

Scatter

Scatter — the paw print symbol. 3+ anywhere on the reels trigger free spins. Pays regardless of position.

Wild

Wild — the dog house symbol. Substitutes for all pay symbols except scatters. Appears on reels 2-5 with a random 2x or 3x multiplier.

Multiplier

Multiplier — increases your win. Wild multipliers ADD together: two 3x wilds = 6x total, not 9x.

Free Spins

Free Spins — bonus rounds from 3+ scatters. Two modes: Sticky Wilds (wilds lock in place) or Raining Wilds (fresh wilds each round).

Bonus Buy

Bonus Buy — pay 100x stake to enter free spins immediately. Same RTP as natural trigger. Unavailable in some jurisdictions.

Megaways

Megaways — licensed mechanic from Big Time Gaming. Each reel shows 2-7 symbols, creating up to 117,649 ways to win per spin.

Hit Rate
